Curly or Straight?

While we’re on the topic, have you ever wondered what makes hair curly, and what makes it straight?  One reason is because of your genes.  Research has shown that the majority of the reason why you have straight or curly hair is a result of your DNA.  With regard to a specific strand, the curvature of each hair depends on the follicle.  If the follicle is asymmetrical, that particular strand of hair will be oval in shape and tend to curl. Conversely, if the follicle is symmetrical, the strand of hair emerging will grow round and straight.
